Quality that endures
The story began in 1984 when the business first opened its doors in Penrith as Harmony Blinds & Doors, quickly earning a reputation for manufacturing quality custom made blinds. A few years later – in 1990 it became part of Michael’s family, who continued to grow its trusted name throughout Macarthur, Wollondilly, and the Southern Highlands and beyond!
Michael quite literally grew up in the industry – assembling blinds at the family dinner table in Camden as a child and later gaining hands-on experience manufacturing in the family’s blinds factory. This lifelong connection to the craft laid the foundation for the expertise Evoke brings to every project today.
When Michael’s parents retired, it was a natural progression for him and his wife Alicia to carry the business forward, evolving it into what is now Evoke Window Furnishings. The rebrand reflects a fresh, contemporary approach while staying true to the strong family values and commitment to quality that have guided the business for over 40 years.
Michael offers deep practical knowledge from years spent on the factory floor and managing production, ensuring every blind, curtain, and shutter meets the highest standards. Alicia, a born and raised Southern Highlands girl, complements this with her extensive background in Operations and HR, having spent 15 years with the Australian Army – bringing strong leadership, people skills, and a dedication to exceptional service.
Today, Evoke remains proudly family-owned and operated. The team takes the time to understand each client’s needs, providing tailored advice, quality products, and meticulous installations. From the first measure to the final fit, Evoke delivers a personalised experience with results that stand the test of time.
